I started Runner's World beginning runners program (run 30 min. without stopping in 8 weeks) on Oct. 24, 2011. I was able to run a 5K without stopping 4 1/2 weeks later in 39 min. Soooo slow--but I did it! I've only missed 1 day of running (the day of the BIG WIND) since.
Short-Term Running Goals:
I want to run several 5Ks. I want to be able to run 3 miles in 30 min. I would really like to be able to run a 10K. I want to keep running every day!
Long-Term Running Goals:
I want to keep in shape so I can always keep up with my kids on the hike up to Cleo's Bath on Sonora Pass.
Personal:
I'm married with 7 incredible children. I work at home while keeping very involved in my 2 teenage boys' activities. I have an amazing husband who constantly cheers me on!

I think it is awesome that you have taken this up based on runners world. I'm also impressed with what you have accomplished so far. If you keep running, a 30 minute 5k and a sub 60 minute 10k are very real possibilities. I've been trying to get my wife to start doing this for a long time, but she refuses. So congrats for taking that first step (even thought the first step was taken a long time ago).
